Graduation, Birthday, and Statistics

One of the reasons we chose GTB for the summer is the proximity to home. A relatively easy 8 hour drive and we're there. Fortunately our timing worked out so we could attend Grandson Luke's high school graduation ceremony. Way to go Luke!

A big smile from Luke.

Luke & Drew (who graduated last year)

Ange, Luke, Doug, & Drew

Would also like to wish my baby girl Angela a Happy Birthday for her May birthdate!

We'll be home for a few days so I thought I'd give some statistics from our trip.

Ft. Myers, Fl. to Grand Rivers, Ky.

32 total days

23 travel days

13 nights on anchor

1274.4 total statute miles

55.4 avg. miles traveled per day

137 engine hours

1173.2 gallons of diesel used

1.086 avg. miles per gallon

3.89 avg. price per gallon

Lowest price paid for fuel     3.70 at C-Quarters in Carrabelle, Fl.

Highest price paid for fuel    4.27 at Green Turtle Bay in Grand Rivers, Ky.

There you have it. We will be spending the summer here at Green Turtle Bay. Why here? 2 main reasons. 1 it's only a days drive from home and 2 we like the place. We've been here before and know the lay of the land.
Of course there's always something to do on a boat so it won't be all play. And after a month of travel a good cleaning is the place to start.

Filthy swim platform.
